One of the most important standards for HVAC practitioners in Australia – AS 1668 The use of ventilation and airconditioning in buildings – was recently released in public comment draft format by Standards Australia. Through our publications and online channels, we have encouraged all members to participate in the review.

Two of AIRAH’s Special Technical Groups convened special meetings to review and compile feedback on AS 1668.2. The Commercial Kitchen Exhaust STG and the Infection Control and Operating Theatre Practices STG both submitted comments around their areas of expertise: kitchen exhaust systems, and operating room ventilation.

AIRAH congratulates the excellent work of the STGs in reaching a consensus and providing expert feedback to a critical standard for all HVAC practitioners.
