Overview

Following on from the digital transition of our Building Physics Forum in 2020, AIRAH is delighted to confirm a scheduled face-to-face return for 2021.

Join us in Brisbane on October 12 for the fifth edition of the Building Physics Forum.

This event brings together leading industry experts from across the built environment. Throughout this event, you’ll have the opportunity to network with peers and learn about where the science of building physics is headed through presentations, case studies, and technical workshops.

As an applied science, building physics addresses several different areas in constructed performance. This includes a building’s air movement, thermal performance, control of moisture, sensible and latent energy, acoustic performance, light, solar control, climate, and biology.

More information on the Building Physics Forum 2021 will be available later in the year.

Building Physics STG update (September 2020)

The chair of AIRAH’s Building Physics Special Technical Group (STG) – Jesse Clarke, M.AIRAH – provided an update on the STG’s activity at the Building Physics 2020 Virtual Forum.

Last year’s Building Physics Forum was held as a one-day virtual event on September 17, 2020. It featured 10 presentations, including a keynote address from Max Sherman (Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory): “Build tight and ventilate right. It’ll be OK.”
