AIRAH is committed to the health and safety of our members, guests, and staff. Our aim is to use only COVID-safe venues and ensure that a range of protocols and enhanced hygiene measures are in place to safeguard your health and wellbeing. This includes compliance with any commonwealth, state, or territory health orders that might include density limits, vaccination requirements, or mask wearing.
The following information has been prepared as a guide to attending face-to-face AIRAH events. We want you to feel confident in attending, and we are taking the following steps to manage any risks.
Before an AIRAH event |
- Everyone attending a face-to-face AIRAH event will be required to register ahead of time.
- It is recommended that attendees are fully vaccinated. Proof will not be required unless the selected venue has this as a requirement; registered attendees will be advised of this prior-to the event.
- If you feel unwell or if you have any flu-like symptoms, please cancel your registration.
- If the event is cancelled or postponed due to COVID-19 restrictions, you will be entitled to a full refund.
- If government rules change between your event registration and the day of the event, we will contact you with an update about your attendance.
|
At the AIRAH event |
- Please sign in at the registration table and, if required by your state/territory, with the appropriate app or the venue's contact register.
- Practice proper hygiene etiquette by regularly and thoroughly cleaning your hands with either an alcohol-based hand rub or soap and water. AIRAH will provide hand sanitiser at all events.
- Cover your mouth and nose with your bent elbow or a tissue when you cough/sneeze. Dispose of the used tissue immediately into a closed bin and wash your hands.
- Wear a mask upon entering the building and keep it on during the event (unless eating or drinking), as required by your state/territory.
- Consider alternative greetings rather than hugs or handshakes.
- Wherever possible, stay 1.5 metres apart.
- In some instances, proof of vaccination may be required upon entry. You will be advised of this prior to the event.
|
After the AIRAH event |
- If you test positive for COVID-19 in the following 14-days of the event, notify relevant AIRAH staff immediately.
