WA - Refrigeration Technologies With New Refrigerants
Join AIRAH for a discussion about the future of refrigeration systems with three industry experts.

David Brown, Affil.AIRAH, is a refrigeration engineer with Beca and has over 40 years' experience in all facets of refrigeration and air conditioning. He will look at future trends in Europe and the USA, and the predicted shape of the refrigeration industry in Australia. David will discuss proposed system efficiency compared to what is installed now.

Douglas Herkess is the National Accounts Segment Engineer for Kirby HVAC&R Pty Ltd (Heatcraft) and has over 25 years of HVAC&R industry experience. Douglas will focus on using CO2 as the preferred refrigerant.

Peter O’Neill, M.AIRAH, has been involved in the refrigeration industry for over 30 years. He is currently responsible for the sales and marketing of Mayekawa products. Peter will discuss a different approach, using a system that pumps CO2 as a reticulated brine. This system offers low-charge NH3 operation – the compressor operates with a high-performance IPM motor, and utilises shell and plate heat exchangers for charge minimisation.
