James Harrison Day

James Harrison Day

AIRAH celebrates James Harrison Day annually on April 17, marking the anniversary of Harrison’s birthday and honouring his contributions to Australian HVAC&R.

About James Harrison Day

We encourage practitioners and organisations involved in the manufacturing, designing, installation and maintenance of refrigeration equipment and services to recognise James Harrison Day on April 17.

Getting involved and raising awareness is easy! We invite you to share posts on social media with the hashtag #JamesHarrisonDay and/or send an email to your mailing list.

Your organisation may also consider scheduling a recognition event to celebrate the achievements of the HVAC&R industry. Suggested events:

  • Presentations about the value of HVAC&R (commercially and in everyday use)
  • A recognition breakfast, morning tea or lunch to celebrate what your company has achieved
  • Coordinated events with other organisations/associations
  • Recognition at already scheduled events.

AIRAH invites you to collaborate ideas, contacts, information and resources to help the industry promote James Harrison Day, the importance of HVAC&R and the achievements of those working in the industry. We will share scheduled industry activities through our communication channels.

Please contact [email protected] for more information and to get involved.

World Refrigeration Day logo     AIRAH is also a proud supporter of World Refrigeration Day, taking place on June 26. Launched in 2019, this initiative aims to raise awareness around the importance of refrigeration and brings together organisations, companies and practitioners from around the globe.
