A case study on innovative industrial process cooling design and installation
Ray will provide a case study of an innovative industrial process cooling design and installation project for a medium-sized manufacturer on the NSW Central Coast. The client uses chilled water, hot water and steam from an ageing air-cooled chiller and two condensing boilers. Prior to the design and installation, they relied on the dollar spend of the monthly gas and electricity bills to assess consumption.
Ray will discuss innovation in the design concept through the use of IoT metering to precisely scope the right upgrade and outline the four phases of the project: applying for financial support; sub-metering to reveal potential savings of approximately 30 per cent on gas and 40 per cent on electricity through better control, scheduling, maintenance and efficiency; concept design; and the installation and commissioning of the optimal solution.
