Refrigerants – Where is it all heading?

MacLean will provide an overview of the evolution of refrigerants, from different types to their properties. Each refrigerant type will be summarised, mapping the various types and classifications.

MacLean will provide an insight on the Kigali Amendment to the Montreal Protocol, as well as Australia’s Ozone Protection and Synthetic Greenhouse Gas Management Legislation Amendment Bill in 2017. Possibilities of changeover from HCFC-based refrigerants to HFC or HFO-based refrigerants are also covered. At the end of the session, attendees will be able get absolute clarity on the function, selection, merits and demerits of various refrigerants in terms of design of the system and their components.
