A summary of the heat pump position paper developed by the AIRAH Renewable Heating and Cooling Special Technical Group

This heat pump position paper has been developed over the past 12 months by a selection of AIRAH members associated with the Renewable Heating and Cooling Special Technical Group (STG). The intent of the paper is to:

  • Assess the current status of the heat pump market in Australia;
  • Identify global trends influencing the HVAC industry;
  • Discuss the role of heat pumps in these global trends; and
  • Develop an action plan that highlights the opportunities and existing barriers to the heat pump sector. This included technical, regulatory, research, and policy influences, as well as the market itself.
Carden will provide a summary of the results from the paper with particular emphasis on the action plan and future opportunities for heat pumps and the HVAC industry.
