Andrew Pang
Andrew Pang, AM.AIRAH

Andrew brings a wealth of teaching experience to AIRAH in the refrigeration and air conditioning field at the trade, para-professional, and undergraduate levels.

He is considered an expert in his field with almost 50 years of consulting engineering experience and more than 25 years’ experience in industrial ammonia refrigeration. He is a Certificate IV qualified trainer and has conducted courses for AIRAH for more than 20 years.

Basil McKinley
Basil McKinley, M.AIRAH

Basil has over 30 years’ experience working as a consulting engineer to the industrial refrigeration industry on a variety of projects with some of Australia's largest companies.

He is a well-respected member of the refrigeration engineering community and has been working as a trainer with AIRAH for the past few years, sharing his experience managing projects and working with clients.

Brett Fairweather
Brett Fairweather, M.AIRAH

Based in Sydney, Brett is a mechanical engineering consultant for It's Engineered – a company he established in 2015 to support other practitioners throughout the HVAC&R industry.

Brett is regularly involved in the creation, updating, and delivery of AIRAH's courses. He also volunteers and works on a variety of industry regulation committees, including contributions to the Australian Building Code Board and Standards Australia. He works with the latter's ME-062 subcommittees, responsible for standards on a range of HVAC equipment in buildings.

James Spears
James Spears, M.AIRAH

James is a principal consultant at DeltaQ Pty Ltd and has over a decade of experience delivering HVAC optimisation and building tuning services across the commercial buildings sector.

James also has substantial experience implementing energy efficiency projects from design development through to commissioning and handover. He was also involved in the 2019 revision of the energy efficiency requirements of the National Construction Code.

Ken Thomson
Ken Thomson, M.AIRAH

Ken has over 25 years’ experience in the building industry and has completed numerous projects in ESD and mechanical design. He has also lectured at The University of Queensland and mentored final-year sustainability and engineering students.

He is Associate Director of AIRAH's Queensland committee and is involved with our conference committees. He also represents AIRAH on the Queensland advisory group to the building industry.
