Mass timber – judgment day

CLT is critical to achieving a circular economy. But how we design and deliver durable mass timber buildings will determine the possible reusability of the structure and whether we can close the loop. Dry healthy timber means a long life, but what’s the best way to achieve this?

The chemical treatment that is often used to protect timber has its drawbacks. This presentation will explore the options to maintain healthy, durable and energy-efficient mass timber structures with chemical-free solutions.
