Thermal bridging calculations in three dimensions (the real world)
In this presentation, McIsaac will talk through the challenges of one-dimensional heat-flow calculations; compare calculated and commonly assumed R-values with actual R-values; and present computer-modelling results that can be useful for the future. He’ll also present a proposed new method of R-value calculations that will offer more accurate data on which to base thermal calculations and modelling.
McIsaac is a building enclosure engineer specialising in the evaluation and design of window, wall and roof systems on buildings of all types. He prides himself on working with clients through difficult and unique building envelope challenges.
