Summer overheating: a parametric review of discomfort and risk in high performance buildings
This presentation aims to establish a better understanding of this occupant comfort risk, through the adoption of parametric modelling. He will compare these to three Passivhaus designs modelled in the Passive House Planning Package (PHPP).
Over the past 10 years, O’Dea has developed a wide range of technical and business development expertise covering the assessment, delivery and management of building physics consultancy. As an industry leader, O’Dea has authored more than 50 articles in blogs and publications on the subject of building physics and its role in architecture and engineering.
O’Dea has also advised the ABCB, ClimateWorks, and the Green Building Council of Australia on matters of energy efficiency. He managed the Australian Passive House Association as its 2017–18 chairperson.
