The Australian Institute of Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Heating (AIRAH) and the Institute of Refrigeration, Heating and Air Conditioning Engineers of New Zealand (IRHACE) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to strengthen ties across Australasia in the HVAC&R space.

This formal agreement helps both Institutes in the advancing of the industry, and in the sharing of information. Members of each Institute will also benefit in shared access to technical resources, events, and education/training.

The key areas of the agreement include:

Exhibitions and conferences

AIRAH and IRHACE will assist in disseminating information about the other’s major event(s); members may attend either organisation’s major events at the host Institute’s members’ rate.

Education and training

Both organisations will share access to their online learning programs at their respective members’ rate; joint recognition of CPD; consideration of common training packages.

Policy and position statements; development of standards

Each organisation may be given opportunities by the other to comment on proposed policy and position statements, as well as collaboration on the development of standards.

Website and information exchange; publications

Members will have access to either Institute’s publications at the respective members’ rate.
