AIRAH’s Energy-Efficient Industrial Refrigeration course identifies and discusses the best practices to achieve energy efficiency. It looks at cooling, chilling and freezing within temperature-controlled warehouses, food processing facilities and in other buildings.
The course aims to assist participants in improving energy efficiency in industrial refrigeration systems. It will discuss changes to the operating practices of food processing companies, refrigerated warehouses and cold storage facilities, as well as the allied trades that support them.
Through design, construction, commissioning, operation and maintenance – as well as with a robust energy management program – it is possible to attain the highest levels of energy efficiency.
The two-day course provides an understanding of how energy – mainly in the form of electricity – is charged, as well as ways in which retail service charges can be reduced. A brief introduction to the industrial refrigeration process will lead into how and where energy use can be monitored, recorded, reduced and audited.
