Australia’s leading publisher of HVAC&R magazines, AIRAH, is taking its news offering online through the launch of a digital newsroom. The website www.hvacrnews.com.au provides the latest information about goings-on in the industry, both locally and globally.

The Australian Institute of Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Heating (AIRAH) is Australia’s leading provider of HVAC&R knowledge resources, news and information, including Australia’s two highest-circulation industry magazines, Ecolibrium and HVAC&R Nation. Together, these two magazines reach over 23,000 people a month – more than double their nearest competitors.

Now, in recognition of the changing media landscape, and in line with AIRAH’s overall digital transformation, the Institute is launching an online newsroom to complement its print offering. HVAC&R News (www.hvacrnews.com.au) will provide a first port of call for anyone interested in news about the sector.

“We understand that modern audiences demand top-quality, up-to-the-minute and easy-to-access information,” says AIRAH CEO Tony Gleeson, M.AIRAH. “Through our industry-leading magazines Ecolibrium and HVAC&R Nation we have already cemented a reputation for premium content; the HVAC&R News website now allows readers to access this more quickly and easily.

AIRAH communications manager Matthew Dillon says the new portal provides AIRAH with the flexibility to explore different story formats.

“From interviews and podcasts with key industry figures to videos of events and product innovations, HVAC&R News will enrich AIRAH’s news offering,” he says. “We can link easily to related articles and websites, too.”

AIRAH enjoys unrivalled access to industry news thanks to its close collaboration with other bodies – including ASHRAE, the GBCA, ASBEC, the NSW Department of Environment and Heritage, and Sustainability Victoria. It also represents more than 10,000 HVAC&R professionals across Australia – many of whom occupy key roles in the sector’s largest companies.

Finally, as a not-for-profit organisation with a history of almost 100 years, AIRAH is widely regarded as a reliable and commercially unbiased source of information.

“We are proud of our position as the trusted voice of the HVAC&R industry,” says AIRAH CEO Tony Gleeson, M.AIRAH. “We have the contacts to get the stories, we have the expert communicators to create the content, and we have the knowledge and perspective to identify which developments our audience needs to know about.

“Our goal is very simple: to become the number one source of online news for Australia’s HVAC&R industry,” Gleeson says. “We’re in an ideal position to do that, and we’re excited about taking this next step in our digital transformation.”
