Air conditioning manufacturers
are making the change from R22 to R410A refrigerant gas in their systems.
The most significant operational difference of R410A to R22 is the operation
pressure is 60% higher. This means that there is a need for thicker wall
refrigerant tube, altered flare specifications and an understanding of
procedures and how to safely and correctly use new tools and equipment.
Key topics include
- R22 phase out
- Refrigeration and air conditioning system fundamentals
- Refrigeration properties and applications of R410A
- Identification of practices to reduce the emissions of fluorocarbon
refrigerants in air conditioning applications
- Refrigeration oils in HVAC systems
- Essential service tools for R410A
- Materials use with R410A
- Procedures
- Safety issues
