building control in Australia and the legislative processes for building
designs and approvals through our BCA seminar.
Seminar summary
This seminar specifically addresses the workings of the BCA, Volume
1 and how the relevant Australian Standards are referenced in the areas
of smoke hazard management systems and fire fighting equipment (mechanical
and fire services). Included is a comprehensive review of the performance
based BCA. It demonstrates the basic methodologies of determining the
general regulatory deemed-to-satisfy requirements of a building in regards
to type of construction, egress provisions and fire ratings to structural
and non-structural components.
