Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

What is Continuing Professional Development?

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) includes any activity that extends or updates your knowledge, skill or judgment in your profession and enables you to:

  • be more productive

  • understand and apply advances in technology

  • face changes in career direction

  • better serve the community

Professionals undertake CPD activities in order to maintain and extend their knowledge, skills and judgment. One of the main functions of CPD is to equip you for your planned career path.

How can AIRAH help me achieve my CPD requirements?

Engineers Australia and various state regulatory authorities require you to improve your skills through CPD. This is often linked to registration or licensing processes.

AIRAH has compiled a comprehensive spreadsheet to help explain how AIRAH activities can be counted towards your CPD requirements.

Note - these point allocations are correct to the best of our knowledge - contact the organisation responsible for further clarification.
