Overview

Updating the existing building stock in Australia has become a huge priority, with driving force coming from the tenants, mechanical services engineers and the Building Code of Australia energy requirements. In this environment we need a wider understanding of the financial, environmental and social benefits of optimised performance in existing buildings; especially as energy and water considerations push more and more to the fore.

Up to 98 per cent of all buildings in Australia are ’pre-loved’, they were not designed with sustainability in mind.
The Pre-loved Buildings conference — take control, will look deeper into the world of controls. We explore how these small, but powerful tools are used to optimise energy performance and internal comfort conditions in existing buildings.

Pre-loved Buildings conference — take control is the third in a series of highly successful AIRAH conferences. Previous pre-loved conferences were held in 2006 and 2007.

This one and a half day conference will be held at Sydney’s Australian National Maritime Museum on October 21–22, 2008.

Who should attend this conference?

This conference is designed for installers, mechanical services contractors, service personnel, building operators and facility managers, controls companies, equipment suppliers, building owners, property owners and designers.
