Overview

Following the success of the 2006 pre-loved buildings conference run by AIRAH in Melbourne, and the positive industry feedback on the importance of the topic, AIRAH will be hosting a follow-up conference in 2007.

The potential for improving sustainability in existing buildings is widely recognised, yet few buildings have taken the plunge. With existing buildings representing the majority of the building stock in Australia, there are great opportunities to improve energy, water and environmental performance within these buildings. The challenge is to make this opportunity a reality.

AIRAH jump started this process at it's first pre-loved buildings conference in 2006, and is going to continue the push in Brisbane during 2007.

The conference will focus on the potential for improving energy and water efficiency in existing buildings' mechanical services, without sacrificing indoor comfort conditions.  The sustainability of new buildings is moving ahead in leaps and bounds, it's time our existing building stock started to catch up.
