As reported in
last month’s Ecolibrium, the Water Efficient Cooling Towers
Program, a Victorian Government initiative being run by AIRAH, is
in the midst of conducting a water efficiency audit of the state’s
cooling towers. Sean McGowan reports on the results
from Stage 2 of the program. |

An ongoing drought
and severe potable water shortages in many areas of Australia, combined
with the relentless push for environmentally sustainable design,
is driving innovation in cooling tower water – both the source,
and its reuse. Sean McGowan takes a look at the
opportunities and the risks. |
