Call for papers

AIRAH invites paper abstracts on the following topics:

  • System / valve maintenance

  • Risk to drinking water from any recycled water (grey and tank water)

  • Effects of drought on the current water supply

  • New standards and regulations – changes and updates

  • Legal issues – risk management, duty of care

  • Correct installation and maintenance procedures

  • Irrigation systems

  • Fire service – risk to backflow

  • Testing and reporting procedures for backflow

  • Water pressure and flow requirements

  • Mistakes made and how they were fixed

Invitation to present

AIRAH officially invites people to submit technical papers and case studies that support and follow the theme of the conference. Authors wishing to present a paper for consideration will need to submit a 250 word abstract to the conference manager by Friday April 20, 2007.

 

The abstract format is as follows

 

Title of Paper

Authors name(s)

Keywords

Body of abstract (250 words)

 

File format – MS-Word

 

Please also include your contact details, including postal address, e-mail address and contact phone number.

 

Acceptance of the abstract will be based on relevance of the conference theme and technical content. Papers containing commercial information and advertising will not be accepted. All the papers/case studies will be peer reviewed prior to the conference and the papers/case studies will be published in the conference proceedings.

 

All presentations will be published on the conference website following the conference.

Decisions made by the conference technical committee with regards to acceptance of technical papers and case studies is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

Key dates

  • Abstract submission – April 20, 2007

  • Notification of abstract acceptance – May 4, 2007

  • Submission of full technical paper – August 31, 2007

  • Technical paper fully reviewed and accepted – September 28, 2007

  • Submission of Power Point presentation – October 19, 2007

 

All speakers accepted into the technical program of the conference will be given a complimentary delegate registration for themselves. This will include admission into the conference, morning and afternoon teas, lunch, and dinner. It will not include any accommodation or travel costs that may be incurred.
