Overview

Every summer, air conditioning gets the blame for draining the electricity network and causing blackouts.  More and more people are installing air conditioning and the problem is only going to get worse - unless industry does something about it by demanding less.

Electricity utilities have examined this issue in some detail and a number of new programs and trials are emerging, ranging from technology solutions such as air conditioner load control to consumer behavior incentives such as time of use pricing.

This conference will bring together stakeholders active in the area to discuss results from trials over the 2006-2007 summer and share the latest findings on air conditioning demand response capability, viability, and program design.

Who should attend:

Consulting engineers, design engineers, contractors, architects, educators, energy managers, planners, energy consultants, energy performance contractors, government officers, plant engineers, property managers, facility managers, property developers, property owners, controls suppliers, controls consultants, energy suppliers, energy retailers.
