AIRAH provides a range of accreditation and training programs that help to distinguish specialists from various sectors within the HVAC&R industry who are appropriately qualified and uphold best practice standards. Building on from the AIRAH Accreditation program, the Graduate Certificate in Air Conditioning (Code Compliance) is a nationally-recognised qualification offered by AIRAH in its capacity as a Registered Training Organisation (RTO No. 21561).
Topics covered include the Building Code of Australia, microbial control, fire and smoke control, and mechanical ventilation.
The first intake of candidates occurred in October 2005.

Backflow is the unwanted reverse flow of liquid in a piping system which may result in the contamination of safe drinking water.
Plumbers on this register have the appropriate knowledge and experience to assess a property's risk level, and to fit and maintain backflow prevention devices as necessary.
